After talking with a few coaches the last few days, TbS has decided to roll out a new format for the Georgia Major Elite and the Spring Slugfest. This format is something new and I hope all of you will like it.
We will take a MAXIMUM of 8 teams per age group and start off right away with a double elimination tournament. This will make things exciting from the first pitch. We will do a "blind draw" on Facebook Live to set the match ups. We are also coming out with a new pricing format, $200 for ages 12u and under and $225 for 13u and 14u teams.
This is something different from the normal "pool play followed by single elimination" format and hopefully its something that will interest teams. Please contact Rick Goff at tbsinformation@aol.com for more details. |

By far some of the best events we've ever attended. Actually getting to play AT East Cobb, great price point (I guess other directors pocket a ton?) Rules adhered to (enforced, rather than at anyone's discretion). Would recommend over any other tourney org in GA. |

We offer both. We do 54/80 in spring and for the AA/AAA nationals in June. The 13u Travelballselect National Championships in June will be 60/90. |

TBS, has always been one of my favorite tournaments. They think outside the box and aren't afraid to do something a little different from everyone else. They always manage to offer the most baseball for the buck as well. |

It will be a straight double elimination from the beginning AND be a 3 game guarantee as well. Using this format, 6 of the 8 teams are guaranteed 3 games. The two teams that are 0-2 right off the bat will get a third game (consolation) against each other. Other than that, all other teams will get at LEAST 3 games and every game has meaning and purpose.
This only works with 8 teams and thats why we are limiting it to 8 per age group. If you get more or less than 8, then you are dealing with "byes" and then you have some teams getting an advantage. 8 teams means that everyone is on a level playing field. By the way, the 12u division is already full and closed for April 7 weekend. |
