Looking for opinions...

Do you think by using "Fulton" or "Cobb" in the name of a new travel ball team will limit kids from surrounding counties from trying out? For example, if the name of the team is called "Fulton Sluggers", do you think by using the word "Fulton" will make families think it is a Fulton County team only?

The short answer from me is "yes". A team with the name Fulton in it will definitely make people think that the team is from that area. However, it won't make people think that the entire team is made up of Fulton county players.

Sluggers was an example.

Sandy plains has kids from more than sandy plains

West Cobb Rapotors, has kids from more than West cobb

East Cobb certainly has more than kids just from Cobb

Etc...etc....

In all seriousness please stay away from the following:
Elite
Showcase
Prime
Scout
Exposure
Prospects
National
Platinum
Premier
Select

or ANY combination of those words. Nothing makes me laugh more than to read a name like Sluggers Select Prime Prospects Scout team

Travel teams are like liquor stores, churches, McDonalds, and Waffle House.

Shouldn’t, but just call it Sluggers Baseball?

Your issue is not going to be with the potential perception of it being limited to Fulton County, but rather, no one is going to want to be on a "Fulton County" team unless North Fulton is explicit.

Not necessarily, but I suggest not adding a county to the name.
