Now that we are approaching the day when we get back on the diamonds, whether that be Mid-May or around June first, what has your team being doing during the break?

Be honest, the goal isn't to try to cut down teams for doing too much or too little. I am just curious to know what direction you as the coach or you as a parent of a player has been giving your team or given by your team.

Have you had weekly practices like normal?
Has your team been doing regular Zoom online meetings?
Has your coach be doing online video batting lessons?
Have you had a throwing, hitting, or fielding program that was given out for one or multiple days per week to do on your own?

OR

Has you team and players just completely taken a break and you'll ease back into it as you find out more information?

Has your team just started working back out now that the restart of the season is getting close?

Again, not intended on causing any drama about too much or too little being done. Just looking at things in hindsight now to see how different people handled a very unusual and difficult situation.

Not a single Coach or Program initiated communication sent to our 13u team.

There have been, however, 2 parent emails sent to the coach cc'ing everyone in the past week asking what the plan is to restart or when we should be expecting refunds. Coach responded to one without actually answering either question. Just rambled on about hoping everyone is bunking down for a long storm and hoping we are all healthy and that its more important than playing baseball. We'll that's nice 'concern', but cut the crap and answer the questions. $43500 in collected team dues, just 4 fall tournaments played. All we need is transparency and communication. That's all and its not difficult to do.

Some of the parents have discussed legal assistance to recover funds if they continue this charade past state guidelines and most other programs have restarted. Obviously disgusted as a consumer and parent. Luckily my son was just offered for another solid team if PG extends into a summer season. If PG doesnt extend, welp, its onward to the 14u tryout circuit.

I’ve run small on-field practices for those players/families that have felt comfortable joining. We’ve had live pitching against hitters and I think that will really be helpful in what should be a very rapid return to tournament play once things open up.
