I heard it was due to arm soreness but can't figure out how a team carrying 14 players could have arm trouble to that level. I asked a roadrunner parent if they had anybody left to pitch and he replied "yes, but not the ones we want to." In the future it may be better to withdraw from a tournament before the championship game, if you have no intention of playing it. Our team got the victory but would have loved to earn it on the field, and I'm sure your healthy boys would have loved to compete, even if short handed.
