As this age group totally graduates to the big field, as perfect game begins to be the measuring stick of play, as wood bats begin to change games offensively, and as puberty fully takes hold I ask this question...

Where is the place for the little guy at 14u?

As the parent of a little guy in 13u that doesn't appear to be heading into 14s moving up the size chart, I'm wondering where these skilled but smaller kids will fit this spring. Now yes I realize he may grow eight inches between now and then. And I realize that over the next few years he'll catch up. There are so many highly skilled kids that have been big parts of all the top teams for years that may simply be pushed down a rung because they aren't 5'10".

Are there just going to be a whole lot of "pesky " number two teams in organizations with a whole lot of dudes with chips on their shoulders out there?
