We're proud to announce the expansion of the Jr Jackets program at Shaw Park with a newly formed 10U travel team for 2011. This first year team will participate in A/AA level competitive baseball tournaments in the metro Atlanta area as well as the local NWBA travel baseball league in 2011. As a first year team, our focus will be on advancing skills development, learning to play the "Sprayberry Way" and establishing “team continuity” from season to season.
Evaluations and try outs are open to everyone. The feeder baseball team concept is that we try our best to field a team made up of players who may ultimately play for the Sprayberry High School JV or Varsity baseball team. Players attending Addison, Kincaid, Blackwell, Bells Ferry, Chalker, Sedalia Park, Nicholson and Mountain View Elementary Schools or those who may in be alternative schools (home school, private) in the general area are typical feeders into JJ Daniel, Simpson and McCleskey Middle Schools and ultimately Sprayberry High School. If unable to field a complete team from the feeder schools, we will select players from other schools to be on the team.
We look to finalize the team in September and have a light fall schedule enabling kids to participate in rec baseball, football, etc. as well as begin team building and bonding through practices, scrimmages and other team activities.
The initial tryout and evaluation schedule is below. All tryouts and evaluations will take place at Shaw Park's Mustang field.
July 25th 2-5pm August 7th from 3-6pm August 14th from 3-6pm
It is recommended that you attend as many sessions as possible, but we understand conflicts may arise with other travel programs, etc.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow for player warm ups and parent registration form completion. There is no fee involved. If you'd like the registration form in advance, feel free to contact us.
The first two hours will be fielding, hitting and base running with the third hour pitching and catching. All players are encouraged to be evaluated for pitching and catching.
