The 13U Chattahoochee Tigers plan to hold tryouts from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 30 and from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 31 on field 1 at Bennett Park. The address for Bennett Park is 5930 Burruss Mill Road, Cumming, GA 30041.
The 13U Tigers plan to build on their successful first year with the addition of several new players. The 12U Tigers placed 2nd in the Lanier Travel Baseball League with a record of 16-4-1 ending the season with a 12 game winning streak. The Tigers also qualified for the USSSA AA State Tournament with a win over the No. 1 ranked Georgia Generals at the sub-state in Statesboro, GA.
The 13U Tigers will play and practice out of Bennett Park in the fall of 2010 and spring of 2011 and will place a heavy emphasis on executing the fundamentals of higher level baseball along with good sportsmanship, discipline and team unity in a competitive environment. Field #1 at Bennett Park has a grass infield and is one of the nicest fields in Forsyth County.
