East Cobb Angels is looking to complete is 2019 spring summer roster.
We will be going to Cooperstown June 8.
Our players have 1-2 professional coaches at every practice, and up to 4 professional coaches once per week. We incorporate a pitching coach with 6 years minor league time and college coaching experience. Hitting/ infield and outfield coaches with Div I, II, Juco and minor league experiences. This is all designed to maximze the players experienc, maximize value for parents and allow the team to have access to quality respurces/. We urge our parents to be next to their player on pitching nights to absorb the info to...we believe in helping all involved. We also utilize 2 volunteer coaches at practices and games too.
Expect 1-2 paid coaches at each game with 1-2 volunteer assistants.
Practices are dynamic and fast paced yet we preach the fundamentals and are all about player development...emotionally, mentally and physically. We believe in the player who has the desire play anywhere..the kid who wants to be on the field. We keep our program small with no more than 4 - 5 teams across diff age groups. This helps to keep our coaching message clear and uncompromised while helping us keep our word to parents and players. Currently we have a 17u and a 12u. We have access to 3 indoor facilities so we rarely miss a practice.
This team will begin spring on the AAA level and as the season progresses we will play open div. tournaments as well. We do not have a revolving door policy when it comes to players. If we put your child on the team your child will play, but consistent starter time is for those who can work hard on and off the field,work smart and consistently meet or exceed expectations. We will play 12-14 tournaments this spring/ summer. We only use guest players if we have injuries, illnesses or long tournaments where arm safety is a concern.
Our coaches currently help place players in college or privately instruct college bound players so they understand what passion and work ethic can do. We are not unrealstic in our approach. We want to be proactive and help players better understand that consistnecy and discipline goes farther than motivation will and this gawesome game requires awesome attitudes plus great focus.
The program is headed by Victor Moreno who has over 23 years of coaching experience. 15 as a private instructor locally, 10 at East Cobb Baseball, HS varsity coaching experience and some collefiate experience on the d2 level. Coach Moreno is well respected and his former EC pride Program has helped many players develop into college athletes. He is all about the kids and the life lessons the game provides. Coach Moreno played collegiately on the Juco D2 and D1 levels...tried his hand at pro ball but will honestly say he just wasnt good enough to build a career there so he became a HS jv/ varsity coach and a collegiate asst too. He focuses on the players and works hard to provide a program where players can grow.

| Coach Vic, thanks for a great fall season so far! If you are thinking about joining a travel team for the Spring, don't wait because you will want to take advantage of Coach Vic's indoor Winter training programs that are superior to most out there. It is making a huge difference in my older son's hitting as well! Thanks! |
