I'm one of the fathers posting, not a coach.
As a matter of fact, the team has hired a coach (paid), so there is no daddy ball. As a father looking for his son to be HS baseball-ready, this excited me to no end! So much so, that I'm posting here to fill up the one spot we have open for Fall and Spring.
(The team--purposely leaving it anonymous--has a contract with a hitting instructor who has helped my son hit .700+ avg and double-digit HR's last year, and CES--the strength and conditioning org--both based in Duluth as well).
We know enough kids in our neighborhood to recruit, and those few who are good enough, are not being asked to join the team b/c of the boy's fathers.
So, we're looking for a teachable & athletic 13U kid, who's got pitching skills especially, and likes to be with other well-mannered boys. And we're looking for parents who don't think the universe revolves around their son...or them for that matter.
Many coaches on this board will probably attest to one set of parents ruining it for the rest of the parents on a team.
IF INTERESTED, please call 678-404-1793 and leave a message, with the following; 1. Full name of your son 2. Positions he's really good at 3. Previous two teams he's played with 4. Contact info: email and/or cell#.
