 Bat Weight Rules??

At 13U, are the boys required to use drop 5 or drop 3 bats? Heard there really wasn't a rule on this from someone but didn't thing that was true.

According to 2011 USSSA rule #8.01E the only mention of length to weight ratio is that 15U to 18U must use a -3. As for 4U to 14U it only says that it cannot exceed 2 3/4" in diameter and 36" in length, with no mention of weight. Other organizations rules may vary, however.

No rule, just a good idea to move up to at least a-5 bat. There will still be a lot of kids using drop 8s,9s & 10s so just use what you prefer.
