The East Side Scorpions are looking to add 1-2 more AAA-caliber players to our already strong team for the 2011 upcoming 13U season. We play out of East Side’s Fullers Park, a very nice field complex for practices and games. Our team is made up of players primarily located geographically close to Fullers, but we welcome anyone looking to join a family atmosphere focused on positive reinforcement, quality of play, sportsmanship, and out-hustling the competition. Our foundation of players is solid, and we plan on starting the 2011 season at the AA level and then move up to AAA after establishing success. We are looking for players who play with a positive attitude and parents who want to get involved. Our coaches are experienced at playing and coaching the game of baseball at many levels, including college. Players will earn their playing time by demonstrating hustle, discipline, baseball IQ, and skills. The Scorpions TEAM operates under these guiding principles: #61656; We respect and honor the game with sportsmanship - in victory and defeat #61656; Coaches coach, and players play – coaches will provide positive reinforcement and instruction, players will support each other #61656; We approach every pitch, every at bat, and every play with full hustle and determination - leave it all on the field between the white lines #61656; We make the opposing team earn what they get – 3 outs per inning #61656; We play fundamentally solid baseball and communicate - as a TEAM #61656; As the ball is in motion, so is every player #61656; On defense, we anticipate, react, and execute #61656; A walk is based on the pitcher’s inability to throw a strike, not on the umpire’s inability to call one #61656; An out is based on the hitter’s inability to hit a strike, not on the umpire’s inability to recognize a ball #61656; Baseball is a team game – each player must first excel individually in their family, scholastic, and religious goals
