The Rising 13U Sandy Plains Wildcats will be holding open tryouts on Tuesday, July 21st (raindate July 22nd).
Open 13U Sandy Plains Tryouts - Harrison Park - Field 3 from 6:00 - 8:30pm. Registration will be at 5:30pm. There will be no charge for this tryout.
The Wildcats offer excellent facilities with dedicated field times. We have two-hour practice slots twice per week. We offer winter workouts to keep your player in shape during the off-season. If your player is part of an organization that has multiple teams at every age group with no field to practice on, you need to join the Wildcats! We offer professional coaching alongside our dedicated volunteer coaches. For the 2020-2021 season we will have dedicated professional pitching and batting coaches along with our professional field coach, Bob Berry of the Yankees Baseball Club (www.yankeesbaseballclub.com) Our organization is made up of a solid core of players. We are looking to improve our team by adding a few players that have the desire to succeed and become a Wildcat!
Our successful candidates are hard-working, coachable, driven young men that have a high level of respect for the game as well as their teammates and coaches. The boys are expected to give 100% effort when they step onto the field. Strong pitching and travel experience a plus. We are looking for ballplayers with great baseball families. If any candidates are pursuing a Pitcher Only role, we'll offer those positions at a reduced rate.
The Wildcats are a relatively new team with a strong core of players. For the past 2 seasons, we have played at the AAA level and plan to continue to challenge our players against that level of talent.
We are a Fall Friendly Sports Team. During the Winter Break, most of our boys play Basketball in addition to our off season conditioning program.
