Any practice games going on or coming up? There is only about five weeks until slugfest. Do you think same ole story this year or will they be surprises in the AAA and major divisions. Com on y'all are boring me to death. Let's get some chatter started. Who will be the first team to beat the Astros or RR? Will it be Stixx or SS or HP |

Not sure who wins but there's a good early season tourney at HP for some top majors....HP Chilidogs, Astros, Gamers, mgba, ecb pride....should be a good indication of who's for real... |

The most underrated team not getting any discussion is Kennesaw Baseball. Look for them be a player this year. |

This one is shaping up to be very enteresting. For the teams that have not played at " The Chuck " @ HomePlate, keep in mind that high fly balls must be played differently. If it hits the ground it will bounce like a tennis ball. Great facility and some really good teams in it. |

I haven't seen KB play this fall so I really have no opinion one way or another. But Jimp does raise an interesting point. Who is really the most underrated team out there?

Good point aa17...and those fly balls that cleared the fence last year will be outs. Outfielders better be fast and play deep.... |

What about the 3rd Annual Sandy Plains February Freeze Tournament, February 18-20th? So far, ECB Braves, ECB 45s, Knoxville Thunder, 643 DP Cougars, and Sportsarama Spartans. Any predictions...It's still early in 2011...?? |

Braves 11 Astros 2. 45s run rule Braves, Astros run rule 45s, and Braves run rule Astros. That's a good start to 2011! |

The Braves did play the Astros in the last game of the day. The Braves won and I believe the score was 10 - 2. |

Hats off to the 13U 643, which will be a team for the 2011 season to take serious. Braves 11 Astros 2. 45s run rule Braves, Astros run rule 45s, and Braves run rule Astros. That's a good start to 2011! I guess time will only tell the who’s who at ECB. Going to be a great season of baseball coming up!

I am confused. I did not see a listing of the Braves and the Astros playing. |

They added another game to the Astros for Sunday. So the Braves were next in line. |

Alter-Ego-I am confused too. Why was a game added if the Astros and the 45's were in the championship?? Didn't the Braves get eliminated by the 45's.? |

The coaches for The 45s, Astros and Braves along with the tournament director, decided Saturday night that the looser of the 45s v Braves would play a consolation game against the winner of the championship. We were all just trying to get some work in. |

knucklecurver and Alter-Ego I am with you. Was there a game added on Saturday or Sunday? If Saturday, why is it not listed? If a game was added Sunday, why in world would the Astros have to play another game after winning the championship? That makes no sense. It appears that the Astros beat the 45's who beat the Braves on Sunday. |

So this was basically a scrimmage game added so both teams could get some good work in? |

Sounds like a scrimmage to me. I am sure the Astros had used up all of their stud pitchers and were using this as a scrimmage game. Congrats to the Astros on winning the tournament! |

It basically was an extra game and was managed with Umps; I can not believe the EC Braves & EC Astros would play one another and not play to win. The Astros pitched some of last seasons (from EC) better pitchers within that game as well. Although both teams used up some pitching with Sunday games. Strong Win from the Astros in the Championship against the 45s. |

Call it whatever one likes, but the Astros were not playing around in the Braves game. The Astros only played one game on Sunday so all the studs were not used up. In fact, the starter and first reliever, against the Braves, are well known flame throwers. Tournaments usually have games not scrimmages. The umpires were in place and the chips fell where they fell just like any other game played that weekend. |

The Astros only played 3 games going into the Braves game, I sure hope out of 17 kids they're carrying more than a couple pitch!
