Due to a recent injury, the 13U Wills Park Titans are considering adding a new player. We are a AAA team playing out of Wills Park in Alpharetta on a new state-of-the-art all Turf field - this is an excellent facility. The Titans schedule for the rest of the season consists of a mix of Major/AAA tournaments. While a AAA designated team, we have held up fairly well against Majors caliber opponents.
We have a strong focus on instruction and development and adhere to a philosophy that you have to play to develop - we don't just say it we mean it. As such, we have only been carrying 11 players - so playing time is no issue at all. Playing time is allocated fairly. Our injured player was our primary shortstop, a catcher, a core pitcher and a strong top of the order batter. The opportunity for the right player and family is there for substantial playing time for that player to continue his development.
The coaching staff is very experienced in travel baseball at the advanced level. The head coach has nearly 500 games of travel baseball experience and the assistant coaches played baseball at an advanced level beyond high school. Communication and chemistry among coaches is very solid. We have a very strong, supportive group of parents and baseball continues to be fun for this group - but we do work hard.
