I am looking to hire a head coach and assistant coach for a rising 10u team.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Ability to effectively communicate baseball skills and drills to 10 year old ball players.
2. Patience in dealing with the ups and downs of a season.
3. "Thick skin" or slight hearing loss to handle criticism and second guessing from parents.
4. Solid role model
Desired Qualifications:
1. Playing or coaching experience at the high school level or higher.
2. Recent graduate or a current student in a sports related major.
Pay:
1. Equivalent to a high school head baseball and assistant baseball coaching stipend.
Time commitment:
1. July 2011-July 2012
2. Two weeknights for practices
3. Weekends for practices/games
A team manager is already in place for this team. The head coach and assistant coach will only have to focus on player development. Scheduling tournaments, collecting fees, ordering uniforms and equipment will be handled by the team manager.
