Hello all:
Tryouts for the 2011-2012 Kennesaw Generals 12U travel team will be scheduled in July. Details, dates, times, and other information will be posted as soon as I finalize them.
In the meantime if you want to contact me with your interest in trying out, I will gladly take your name/number/email so I can contact you directly when tryouts are scheduled.

Hello all:
Thanks for the responses I'm getting regarding tryouts. A few quick things:
I'm compiling a contact list for those expressing interest in the tryouts. Please include the following information when you send your email note:
- Parent and player's name
- email address
- Phone contact
- Position(s) played
- Prior baseball experience
I will be doing my best to keep the website and Facebook updated with the info, as well as in this forum.

Here are the official Kennesaw Baseball Association (KBA)Travel Team Tryouts dates/times for the Kennesaw Generals 12U team, that are being posting this week:
OPEN TRYOUTS Sunday, July 31st
12U … 5:00 – 7:00 FIELD 5 ... Jim Bitner; coachjim1024@gmail.com
2nd tryouts Wednesday, August 2nd
12U ... 8:00 - 10:00 FIELD 5 ... Jim Bitner; coachjim1024@gmail.com
As noted, these are the "official and approved" KBA dates. I am also working to have at least one, maybe two, additional dates of tryouts prior to these dates. That is still to be determined - hopefully I will get that set up by the end of this week.
I will post a note with any new dates that are scheduled and specific details for the above dates. In the meantime, please contact me and let me know if you are planning to tryout (if you have already contacted me and I've responded to you, you don't need to let me know)...thanks!

Quick note: The second tryout date should be listed as Wednesday, August 3rd...it is incorrectly listed as August 2nd....thanks

Another tryout for the 12U Kennesaw Generals has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 19 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Adams Park on Field #5. As a reminder, there are three (3) scheduled tryouts:
Tuesday, July 19 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, July 31 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug 3 8:00 - 10:00 p.m

We had an excellent tryout Tuesday night, July 19! Twenty (20) players with lots of talent - I appreciate all those who came out. We're looking forward to the second tryout on Sunday, July 31 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Adams Park on Field #5.
We are changing the August 3rd tryout date to be a callback tryout (if necessary). So if you are interested in trying out, and you didn't attend the July 19 tryout, please plan on attending the July 31st session. It would also be helpful to me to let me know if you going to be there, so I can plan accordingly.
Thanks again to all for your interest in the 12U Generals. Regardless of the final roster for the team, there are a lot of great kids that will be helping the Generals out or some other team this coming year!

There are no callback tryouts for tonight (August 3).
We had two excellent tryouts on July 19 and July 31. Thirty-four players came out and a lot of skill and talent was on display. Thanks to all who participated. We have made the final roster selections and I, or my assistant head coach David Cloud, are in the process of trying to contact everyone, whether you are on the team or not.
If you are not part of this team, I encourage you to find somewhere to play - there are a lot of talented kids that can contribute to someone's team. Just because you weren't part of this mix doesn't mean you won't be a big part of another team. Good luck to all and, again, thanks to all who tried out!
