The Acworth Blue Warriors will be together again in 2012 with plans to go to Cooperstown Dreams park. Funds will be mailed in by the end of July. This will be the second year for this team and we look to return around 8 players. In our first season of play we competed in 8 USSSA tournaments. Of the USSSA tournaments 4 were in class tournaments and 4 were above class tournaments with a record of 2 seconds, 1 third and 2 fifth places in our first year. We are looking forward to the 2011 – 2012 season with plans to play 3 tournaments this fall and then around 12 next year with the last one being in Cooperstown the week of July 7th or the 14th. We plan on playing AA in the fall moving in to AAA the first part of next season. The Warriors will be having 2 open work outs at the Acworth Sports Complex on July 31 and Aug 7th on Field 2 or 3 at 1pm. Our tryouts will be on Aug 14th at 1pm. We will have some practices this fall with a full practice schedule starting in January. There will be a few paid coaches from outside the team used. Well we had a great frist work on last week. Thanks to all that came out. We will be having our last workout prior to Tryouts this week. Open Workouts are this Sunday Aug 7th at 1 on field 3 in Acworth. If you have what it takes to be part of the Warrior Nation come on out!
