2012 Jr Grizzlies Tryouts
Parent Meeting
Parents of prospective 2011 - 2012 Jr Grizzlies players are encouraged to attend a parent meeting on Thursday, July 21st at 7pm in the Creekview High School Cafeteria. This meeting will provide information on the Jr Grizzlies Program and parents will have an opportunity to ask questions and meet with Jr Grizzlies Officials.
2012 Tryout Information
Tryouts will be held July 22nd, 23rd, 24th (Session 1) and July 30th (Session 2) at Dwight Terry Park. Players must attend either session 1 or session 2.

Participation Requirements and Conditions
Prospective players must live in the Creekview School District and try out for the team of the age that they are entering in the 2011 - 2012 school year.
There is a non-refundable tryout fee of $25 (includes a tee shirt) payable at the tryout date. If a player or family feels they had a sub par tryout in the first session, he may tryout again in the second session at no additional expense.
The evaluation process in the tryouts will consist of head coaches from the Jr Grizzlies program scoring each player on fundamentals and controlled scrimmage play.
The teams will be announced on our web site at www.jrgrizzliesbaseball.com on August 5th. In the event that a selected player withdraws, the head coach reserves the right to select the 1st player on the cut list at his discretion. Rosters will be 11 - 12 players.
All players and parents will be expected to adhere to the ethical and financial guidelines set forth by the program. These guidelines will be covered in the first team meeting.
There will be mandatory parents and players meeting announced shortly after the teams are selected. This meeting will be at Creekview High School. The players will also be required to attend a uniform and footwear sizing meeting at the CHS baseball field (date and time to be announced).
Parents will be required to participate in team and program fundraising activities during the season to supplement team operating budgets.
Unable To Attend Tryouts Due To Injury
In the event that any player is injured and unable to tryout at either of the posted Jr. Grizzlies tryout dates, both the Dwight Terry Baseball Association Board and/or the Head Coach of the age group of the injured player may decide at their discretion to allow a special tryout. Every consideration will be given to injured players with no guarantee of a special tryout.
Additionally, injured players at time of try outs can be added to the team by the DTBA Board and/or age group head coach without trying out based on past performance with Junior Grizzlies or other teams.
Season
The Jr Grizzlies will play a minimum of 35-40 games and a maximum of 60-65 games. This includes league play and 3-5 local or regional tournaments. Each head coach will inform parents and players of any additional plans beyond these parameters.
During the Jr Grizzlies season, players selected to play in the program will not be allowed to play for other teams concurrently.
Each team will be responsible for participating in team concessions and team fundraising events. If you require additional information, please contact your head coach or the program director.
Fees
The fee to play Jr Grizzlies Baseball is $750 with three installment payments of $250 each.

February 1, 2012
All monies paid are non-refundable. If a player decides at any time before or during the season to withdraw from the team, all monies paid to date are non-refundable.
