Phenom Nation 12U National Travel Baseball Team
“Challenge the impossible” is a phrase Coach Joe Keller has lived by all of his life and has chosen it as his new teams motto. It is fitting as Keller is out to challenge the notion that a 12 year-old National travel baseball team cannot work. Armed with a staff of coaches which includes Dr. Tom Hanson the former mental coach of the New York Yankees and a little help from some influential baseball enthusiasts, Keller has already began his quest. On December 2-4, 2011, Joe Keller’s Phenom Nation will be holding a mini-camp/ tryouts for those who feel they have what it takes to compete at a National and International level. Thus far, players from California to Florida and everywhere in between (including the Dominican Republic) have signed up for this opportunity to be apart of one of the most talented group of young players in amateur baseball.
The camp itinerary begins on Friday, December 2, 2011, at Florida International University Baseball Stadium in Miami and finishes on Sunday, December 4, 2011, at Tamiami Park in Miami. Each day is filled with loads of professional instruction on fundamentals and culminates on the last day with each player having the opportunity to put their newly acquired skills to play during several games complete with umpires.
All players who attend the event will receive a camp hat and three camp shirts for the low price they paid to attend this camp. Not to mention, most will also walk away with a level of training they have never experienced before! So whether a player makes the team or not they will benefit from this experience.
Then on December 10, 2011, Phenom Nation coaching staff will announce those 12 players who will represent the Phenom Nation 12U traveling team in major tournaments, such as Cooperstown, New York City Wood Bat Tournament, USSSA Super NITs and Cal Ripken Tournaments. Should this phenomenal team qualify for the Elite 32 World Series and NYBC you can expect to see them there also! The team will then go on to compete at the international level in Puerto Rico to play against some of their best competition as well. Sponsors are beginning to come forth as people learn of this once in a lifetime opportunity for these players. Who would not want to be part of this knowing these players will receive some of the best professional coaching, training and most of all the experience of playing the best the Nation has to offer at age 12.
