HS...100% correct on traffic! Vegas won't even take that bet (I also think no "off-shore" establishments would either).

Safe travels!

hshuler is absolutely correct. Traffic will suck leaving Atlanta and many of the predictions will be wrong but making (and reading) predictions and good hearted chatter back and forth with NO ill feelings (just good fun / competitive posts) makes it all fun and worth reading / posting.

Traffic will suck though and that's a sure bet.

LOL...You guys are great!

Should I take my talents to Vegas? Maybe I'll post a prediction after the Top 16 bracket is posted...

Congrats to 6-4-3 for winning the Auburn Super NIT after losing their shortstop. My prayers go out to the young man for a full and speedy recovery. Great job Coach Josh!!!

Also, congrats to the East Cobb Braves for being the runner up.

Im proud of the kids and the coaches for commiting to a pitch count for each kid and staying with it no matter what. I think we had 1 player throw more than 60 pitches for the entire weekend.

Great Job.

I hope the rest of the season works out for you and the boys. 1 more shot at Gulf Shores. It would be great to see you guys make it.

Cumming BB,

I appreciate you saying that but Auburn was our last shot. We will not be traveling to Gulf Shores.

We have an awesome group of 10 year-olds in this division who are receiving some excellent coaching so the State of GA will be well-represented.

Well wishes to you guys the rest of the year and we'll see you at the TC and U-Trip States.

Thanks for the support and kind words. It was really nice to have an all GA final four and your support, to stay late and watch the action (or lack of in some cases-ours) says alot about the quality teams we have in GA, especially the class and sportsmanship displayed.

Congrats to Coach Josh and the 6-4-3 Cougars! A lot of emotional play after what transpired on Saturday afternoon to stay focused and one course thru the 'ship. I can tell you the Braves left it all on the field. It was 6-4-3's day. Great job Cougars!

See you all at the fields!

-Kudos to Bama UTrip on a great tourney, great facilities.
-I echo Lou Holtzs sentiments on the quality of baseball in this state @ the 10U level. GA had 11/16, 6/8 and the last 4 standing. 11 out of the 17 entered made bracket play. Should be fun to see how the 4 (@ this time) teams that have qualified for E32 do.
-In reference to the above commment on pitch counts. Before you blast me, I realize you can say none of my business and bud out and this is just one guy's opinion, but I heard of kids pitching 80-100 pitches in one game. I know it's not late Feb or early March and freezing out but way too many pitches. Again go ahead and blast me.
-Steel Will-Hats off to the 643 and getting their bid and winning a great tourney. My pick the Buzz got knocked off by that overrated (in your opinion) EC Braves team. I still think the Buzz are a great team and heard they almost pulled it out. Classy bunch, the Buzz.Your pick from down here on the Southside, the Gamers, played 4 great games but didn't fufill your prediction. Maybe chemistry off w/the p/ups. The Atl BJays came close but I heard they ran out of pitching, using up their stud to beat Mayhem Elite.
-The EC Braves had the choice I mentioned before the tourney, going 2-0 headed in to the Signature Park pool game. By the looks of the score they saved pitching, although it dropped them in seeding. In the end it looks like the choice paid off.

Should be a great last 2 tourneys with the TC and UTrip States

No blasting here but the long term health of these children are in these coaches hands in the short term and it's great to see these coaches stick to their plan.

As far as 10 year old throwing 80-100 pitches in a weekend at any point of the year. That is just flat out irresponsible. When a high school pitcher/17 or 18 year old is held to 80-90 on 4 days rest what would make anyone think a 10 year old can 80-100 pitches in a weekend?

Cumming baseball-I could not agree w/u more. You and I are on the same page. My point was, some people think that earlier in the season when it's cool out or just plain cold the pitch count should be lower. Some coaches think just b/c it's warm or hot out they can pitch more, that's not the case. Again, I know people will disagree w/me but there is a lot of talent out there, let's just not ruin a 10U arm now.

You guys did a great job of saving pitching in pool play, to allow u to throw your best @ the Buzz and keep u in the game and pull it out. Hats off to u guys and another amazing run in a big time tourney.

What happened in that Mayhem BBoys game? Crazy score

Has anyone noticed that the SOUOOOOTH SIIIIIIIIIIDE has a rep in the Orange Beach NIT? Did the Raiders mix it up and pick up some Blue Jays to make the trip? They could make a serious run at this one and make it in. Especially since the out of state teams can't seem to compete with GA this year. Good luck boys.

Raiders and Jerry Clark are good guys but they are going to have to p/up a lot to win that tourney. Anything's possible though, look for more teams to jump in that one by early next week. Not sure how many Ga teams will be down there since UTrip States is @ ECB that weekend. Mayhem Elite looks to build their points into the millions by playin down there, watch out for the Jax BClaws.

I think we just came off of 2 big wins with the kids were feeling good and Mayhem playing a tough game against Sig Park i think that game took alot out of them they are a much much better team than the score.

Timing, pitching and which kids are going show up.The next game our boys ran out of gas and 643 refused to lose.

What's going on CB....real nice showing in Auburn. Once you got to the ship, I really thought you'd pull it out.

This pitch count thing is tricky to deal with and analyze from a far.

For example, I've thought all along that this was going to be a REALLY good test for ECB because of the AABC event at EC the same week as the AL SNIT.

Did AABC go from Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Thursday?

Nevertheless, that was quite a bit of throwing during the week. Did you play 2 games per day or one?

Frankly, I'd thought you'd limp into the SNIT and I definitely knew you couldn't afford to try to beat SPT if you went 2-0 with a low run count in pool play; it wouldn't have been worth it to sacrifice your chances in the bracket.

It's good that you'd didn't pitch more than 60 pitches in light of how much throwing was done all week long. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there seems to be "under-tones" of ECB didn't really "try" to win the ship as they had several pitchers with innings to go including some of their top arms.

But did they really have their top arms if they had pitched all week in AABC?

Congrats to 6-4-3 and my man Josh (fellow Wildcat fan!). Well done this weekend and my team's thoughts as well go out to your injured player. My boys were definitely concerned for him and wish him all the best. Wish we could have got a little deeper into the bracket, but had tough first round pairing with the boys from SP. Even though we came out on short end of the stick, I was very proud to be a part of such an all around unbelievably well played baseball game by both teams.
