Perfect Game has a 12U tournament starting Friday, anybody know about these out of town teams. Also, it looks like the core of the Phillies has teamed up with some hired guns to form a team that weekend.

643 DP Cougars, Marietta GA
Bama Buzz, Helena AL
Cincinnati Spikes, Cincinnati OH
East Cobb Braves, Marietta GA
East Cobb Rays, Marietta GA
GA Showcase Baseball, Atlanta GA
Indiana Prospects, Indianapolis IN
Team Mizuno, Houston TX
Team Mizuno of PR, Caguas PR
USC Knights, New York NY

Just so everyone knows the Ga Showcase ask the core of the Phillies to play. This team is composed of players from alot of different teams from the state of Ga. Also he posted a thread looking for players who wanted to compete. And had a amazing turnout.
Should be some good baseball.
Good luck to all teams

Pool games are ultra important in this one since they are only taking the top 4 teams out of pool, tough to pick a winner since you don't know about the team from PR but got to imagine they will be strong. Other then them, the next best teams seem to be from GA, big wildcard will be this Showcase team. Do they have enough to compete with the big boys? Looks like they've got a very good roster but as we all know it takes a team to win and not just individual talent. Situational baseball could be their weakness but they could have more talent then most of the other GA teams.

Does anyone know what the gate will be? Thinking of heading down with my kid to watch a few games if it is reasonable.

Thanks!

$25 for the week, with a guarantee of 7 games not as bad as it first seems. At least 6 days of baseball so about 4$ per day.

I am sure they have a daily rate too, not sure what it is though.

@LOGANMILL, isn't Ga Showcase an ECB Phillies dad? My understanding is that this is a team put together by Phillies' dads and coaches that picked up a few strong players from other teams to carry the team. It is what it is and nothing more.Good luck to all of the boys in this tournament with the temps.

Baseball nut, the phillies dont need strong players to carry the team. I think their 3rd place out of 104 teams in cooperstown speaks for itself. Like you said, it is what it is.

Baseballnut23 sounds like your just jealous. What does it really
matter who plays were. We are here to have fun.
Some teams quit playing and kids just want to play. It will be
alot of fun win or lose.
Good luck to all teams.

Not jealous in the least. You said that Ga Showcase selected the core of Phillies and I am saying that Ga Showcase is a Phillie dad. I am glad for all of the boys that still want to play to be playing ball and have no issue with the Phillies so I am happy for them too. Just stating facts as I see em. Hope you all have a lot of success this week whoever is playing.

you are right patbb, they are taking all teams to bracket. The out of town competition has been ok, would have been nice if some of the top teams in the SE came in for this one but with TBS National Championships the following week I can understand.

looks like braves and rays are dominating, could be them in the finals. Only 1 out of town team is above .500 and the team from PR is winless.

Don't let the PR team fool you. They will play possum in pool. We faced a PR team years ago in Orlando. They went winless in pool and then ran the table easily in bracket. We learned that they were letting the bat boys play in pool (they were on the roster), some of which were 2 years younger than the age group.

Not saying that they're doing this here, but don't overlook them and don't be surprised if you see a very different performing group of boys come elimination time.

No doubt they have some pitching saved up for bracket.

Should be fun...

Now that the win or go home play is beginning we will see what these out of town teams really have. I doubt some are going to travel that far and not even be competitive. Should be fun to watch!
