Will be holding tryouts for the 2013 Lugnuts. Saturday July 14th from 10 a.m. til 1 p.m..
The 2013 Lugnuts will compete at the major level ending the season with a trip to Omaha for the College World Series.
Tryouts will be held at the East Hall community park. The team will be headed by Jeff Cooper a four year starter for UGA, and former high school head coach. We will have paid assistants with coaching and college playing experience. This is a great group of players and parents looking to add to an already successful program.
Team will practice out of East Hall and has access to indoor hitting facility on site. Focus is on development of player and approach to the game while competing at a high level.

There will be no charge for the tryout but do ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the workout.
Please come prepared with cleats and turfs in case we need to use indoor facility. |

| In response to some questions East Hall Community Center and East Hall old baseball field will be where the team practices out of. It is convenient to Gwinett, Habersham, Stephens, White, Banks and surrounding counties. We have players from Rabun and Dawson who make the drive. We will be a tournament only team playing major tournaments or will play up in 13u opens periodically. Tournaments will be mostly Triple Crown with travel being limited to surrounding states until the Omaha trip. We have been able to keep costs to a minimum through fundraisers over the last 2 years. Last season the only thing families had to pay for was travel expenses everything else was covered. We have had almost no turnover in the last 2 years, but are opening up the roster for open competition through tryouts to compete at the highest level. Emphasis is placed on development and approach both on and off the field. As a team we will do a devotional series throughout the season without exception, as this is important to our parents and players.
