The 2013 Roswell Black Hornets will be holding open tryouts for next season's team on Saturday, July 21st, from 9am until 1pm, and again on July 28th, from 9am until 1pm. Tryouts will be held at Hembree Park in Roswell, Field #4. This tryout is for up and coming 12 year old players and we are looking for a couple of strong pitchers!
Once the team is selected, we will hold weekly fall practices and a light schedule of fall tournaments depending on how many players are playing other sports. We will move indoors during the winter for twice weekly cage work and pitching instruction. Then we will move outdoors beginning in February as weather permits.
The 2013 team will begin play as a AA team but plans are for us to move up quickly to AAA. We will play in the season ending Cooperstown tournament. We will possibly play in a local league and between 8 and 12 tournaments during the spring season. Other than the Cooperstown trip, we should play all other tournaments within driving distance.
Anyone is welcome to try out at no charge and travel experience is a major plus. Anyone interested must register with the City of Roswell and you do not have to be a Roswell resident. You can register at the Roswell Park Office ( 770-641-3822) or online at www.roswellgov.com. Registration code is 43002-04. Be sure to register for Roswell Black Hornets code 43002-04.

| So are you asking for those players that can/want to pitch to come to the tryout only. we planned on coming (likely 28th due to family commitment 21st)and my son played on his travel team primarily catcher, corner infield, outfield, virtually everywhere but 2nd and pitcher. Has strong arm but no interest in pitching. thx |
