The core of the 2012 11U East Cobb Astros have teamed with members of the outstanding JCS Miners to form the 2013 12U East Cobb Braves! The Braves on field staff will be led by Head Coach Ben Blumenthal who has recently coached the the 11U JCS Miners and is a member of the 15U East Cobb Tigers staff. Coach Ben, a former member of the New York Yankees organization, will be joined by pitching coach Stephen Flake, a former member of the Florida Marlins organization, and Greg Huff, an infield and outfield specialist. All 3 coaches bring their professional experience and proven track record of success to a team that has multiple members of the 80+ win, 10 championship 11U East Cobb Astros, and the highly successful 50+ win, Georgia/Florida participant JCS Miners.
Next years team has taken on the prestigious ECB Braves name and will undoubtedly continue the successful development that began this past season at 11U. Our schedule will remain national, and we will compete at the highest level in the State of Georgia, the Southeast, and of course nationally. We will play up in select 13U tournaments to prepare our kids for the level of competition that we will see at such events as: Florida Battle for the Belts, CABA world Series, Super NIT's, Cooperstown, Elite 32, and the TBS National Championships.
