12U Strike One Sports Slammers - need 2 to finalize roster
The Strike One Sports Slammers are looking for two fundamentally solid 12U players to finalize the 2012/13 season roster.
The Slammers train 11 months of the year at the Strike One Sports Indoor Training Facility located just off Route 92 via Nebo Road in Hiram. All of our field work is done at California Park located behind Hardy Chevrolet off 120 in Dallas.
The Slammers are coached by paid former professional player, Chris Cumberland, who spent 12 years playing after being drafted by the Yankees as a pitcher in 1992. He has been a full time instructor and coach since 2004 including three seasons with ECB with 15, 16 and 18 year old teams. Last season he decided to pick up the Slammers as an 11U team when he opened the training facility.
During the fall the Slammers will work indoors 1 day a week and on the field 2 days a week in small position specific groups and as a team. During the winter each player gets private one on one time concentrating on each player's needs with pitching and hitting and fielding.
The catchers work with instructor, Jason Creel, who played at Harrison High School and Jacksonville State University and still plays with Team Mizuno for the MABL.
Each player will have speed and agility conditioning workouts with our in house certified Personal Trainer and Sports Conditioning Specialist.
