At this age you'll have to mold a catcher rather than find a catcher. With 9u being the "official" year to start KP, most kids have 0 xp behind the plate. You really need 3 catchers in my opinion. You don't want a kid catch more than 3 innings at this age as they fatigue very easily. Ask the boys who wants to catch and go from there. Also don't pin them to a set position. ..every kid should learn the game at 2-3 positions! It will help them and the team in the long run!!!
