Have heard that next year in 14U they are going to the BBCOR bat. If so I have no idea what bat to buy for my rising 13U son. He swings a 32/27 -5 with ease and a lot of wood bats that are 32/30.

Any suggestions from those who have moved to BBCOR?

If he has been swining 32/30 wood, he should be fine with BBCOR. With my son, I found that the feel of the bat really mattered. He is a bigger kid, but likes a bat with a thin handle. We spent an hour swining different bats before he decided. And he did not pick the most expensive choice:-)

My son is 16 and has used the Nike, Marucci and Easton S1. The Easton series has the best bat if you choose the right one. The stronger the kid(age wise) the more he needs to go to the S1, xl series. Many bats although the make for all "drops" are not designed for older kids. 13and up
