| Our son is 13, has been playing up since last year, he is a good utility player, plays 2B and has started playing OF. He is comfortable anywhere, though hasn't played much 3B. He is a solid hitter, has a great on-base average as he is good at reading pitches & has a good head for the game. He works with a professional trainer regularly pitching and hitting. Can throw good pitches but is working on velocity at 60/90. He's a great kid, strong and a fast base runner, loves to steal! This is a bad time of the year to be looking for a team but we had to pull him off of his team where there was some parent abuse. We are not about that & do not want to be a part of any team that allows players to be ridiculed or belittled. Positive environment only with coaches and players who work together to better their game on & off the field. We would play pick ups too. He just wants to play ball. | I probably should have given our location- we are on the Northwest side of Atlanta, near Cartersville, so I am afraid that Buford would be too far for us. Thank you for your response though! |

Hi my name is Craig Wilbanks.. Head coach for 13u SBO Elite..Out of cartersville/adairsvilee.. We practice at Joe Cowan park in euharlee but have 3 fields in adairsville also.. We will probably be looking for a pick up player next weekend. This wknd we play in a USSSA tournament at hamilton crossing..we play at 9am and 110pm on field 13.. We play at AAA level so if you're interested then come out sat and see what we are about and if you'd be interested in possibly playing... I can always use good pitching and OF.. can't promise 2nd because the kids playing that spot have been busting their butts to win it outright.. :)
However it is possible he could play there a few innings..No promises though.. Anyway, you can txt me or call after 6 if you want more info or catch up with me at hamilton crossing btwn games, field #13
