13U NG Bulldogs – Red (AAA)
You are invited to participate in a baseball assessment to join the North Gwinnett Red 13U AAA travel team on:
Saturday July 19th from 9AM ~ 12PM, Field #4 George Pierce Park, Suwanee Sunday July 27th from 2PM ~ 4PM, Field #4 George Pierce Park, Suwanee
The North Gwinnett Red 13U AAA travel team is excited about the upcoming 2015 season and will be seeking new players to fill key spots on our roster. Our park was the only one in Gwinnett with two 12U AAA GGBL teams and this past season gave us the opportunity to play against what we believe is some of the best competition in the country. We then followed that up with a successful team trip to Cooperstown NY.
Our 2015 philosophy is to have emphasis on skills development for our players. At this age our players are within 1 to 2 years of potentially playing high school baseball and we intend to have them prepared to achieve that goal. We believe that the blend of training by baseball professionals in our practice workouts combined with the reliable game day staff who know the players well brings the best of both worlds to our team. We are presently working with key professionals to develop a workout plan and schedule for Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 to be conducted at George Pierce Park and at our private indoor/outdoor hitting and training facility at 2905 Pacific Drive in Norcross. This facility gives us unprecedented access for year round training, not typical with high school related team development programs. It includes a full 70’ batting cage, conference facilities, 3 wheel pitching machine, pitching and fielding areas.
We plan to play ~7 total fall and spring tournaments, an 18 game GGBL spring season, and an end of the season tournament targeted potentially for the Cal Ripken experience in Myrtle Beach, SC. or a similar type tournament trip and experience. In all this should total 40 ~ 50 games or more.
Key points and things you can count on from our team:
• Regular access to George Pierce Park Field 4 and a dedicated indoor/outdoor workout facility. • Well managed team communications via TeamSnap • A great core group of players who enjoy spending time together as a team. • A regular pre-game prayer. • Game scoring and statistics maintained via iScore. • A focus on helping develop boys into men both on and off the field. • For the GGBL season we will do our best to schedule games either on weekends and to keep cross county weekday games to a minimum. We like the GGBL schedule as it: --Guarantees a season of baseball against talented AAA Gwinnett County teams --Rainout games will always be made up unlike rained out tournaments. • Professional level training and development • A great set of families who love their boys and love baseball. • A coaching staff that will pay attention to details such as innings pitched and pitch counts to ensure our players are not overexerted.
Please contact me if you are planning to attend either tryout or have any questions about our program.
