| The Cherokee Reds are looking for one solid player in order to complete their roster. A new coaching staff is in place and we are setting our sights on building a team to go to Cooperstown in 3 years. (The Reds have a Cooperstown Grandfather Certificate.) Our focus in the fall will be on development with a goal of playing in one or two tournaments. Barnett Park and the Cherokee Reds have a limited number of teams and NO rec program meaning we will be able to get a lot of field time to focus on teaching. We believe at this age the focus needs to be on learning, hustle, and having fun. Pressuring kids to win is a losing endeavor. If kids are taught properly and love the game, winning will take care of itself.
