11U Sharon Springs Black Spartans are looking to fill our final (11th) roster spot. We will play an aggressive AAA/Major schedule during the spring 2015 season.
We are sensitive to multi-sport athletes so if you play a fall sport no worries as we play a light fall schedule for multi-sport kids. On the other hand, if you are a full-time baseball player, we have a fall team for "baseball only" players that practices 2x per week and plays tournaments on the weekends. We are off to a great start this fall with a 1st place and two 2nd place finishes in our 4 fall tournaments.
In addition, we have our own private indoor facility (the Spartan Dugout) for conducting indoor workouts throughout the course of the year.
Our program will develop well-rounded young men who learn not only the fundamentals of baseball, but also the importance of education and teamwork, in an atmosphere conducive to developing sound mind, body and character – and having a great time along the way. We practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship and physical fitness. Our program stresses learning lessons of value far beyond the individual games, such as self-discipline, teamwork, concentration, friendship, leadership, respect and good sportsmanship. We are NOT, however, an equal playing time team. We will emphasize competition on this team; however, we will never teach or display a “win at all costs” attitude. Nothing in life, including baseball, is worthwhile unless you enjoy it and gain something from the experience.
The rising 11U Sharon Springs Black Spartans are looking for one athletic and versatile player with a dedicated family whose goals are aligned with those listed above.
We will practice and play out of Sharon Springs Park in Cumming, GA.
