Currently putting together the Gwinnett Legends for Spring 2015. This team will play out of Lion's Club Park at Rockbridge Rd and 29 (Lilburn). Solid core of players thus far.
We will be holding practices in January that will determine our team for Spring 2015. Instead of a one day try out, we are encouraging those interested to come up to Lion's Club Park and play some baseball over the course of a week (TBD). We are also willing to meet with parents and players before January to get to know each other.
Our team will not be just players on the field, but hopefully friends on, and off, the field. The Legends will have fun activities away from baseball to build those relationships. Maybe a parent/player basketball tournament?! We will also be involved in the community as a team.
That week (in January) will absolutely include some sort of barbecue (possibly a pot luck supper!) We will play ball, have conversations with parents and generally just get to know each other. Be prepared for fundamentals. As a team, we want to win. Individually, we want our players to grow in ability and in character.
