Don't miss out on the sixth annual Forsyth County Slugfest USSSA NIT, March 6-8, 2009. This premier 200+ team preseason event has sold out each of the last four years. Last year unfortunately, over 30 teams had to be placed on a waiting list. This year we have expanded to 50+ fields and 32 teams per age group. However, we expect another record turn out and a sold out tournament again this year.
We are proud to continue our support of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Cumming-Forsyth County Miracle League. Your past participation has provided over $30,000 to help fund a new multi purpose Miracle League field that opened for play during the spring 2008 season and $18,000 towards a new inter-operative MRI machine for Childrens Healthcare. A great weekend of baseball and a great cause.
All games will be played on the beautifully manicured fields of Sharon Springs Park, Central Park, Midway Park, Sawnee Mountain Park, Bennett Park, and Coal Mountain Park. All parks are conveniently located less than five miles off of highway GA 400. Your teams and families will be treated to high school certified umpires, 30+ batting cages, complete up to date tournament info (website, email and "Calling Post"), eleven concession stands, hotel discounts, a complete assortment of tournament vendors and first class service. All to provide a National Tournament experience close to home. Due to the size of the tournament and in order to eliminate traffic, we will collect a $150 team gate/parking fee in lieu of an individual admission payable prior to the start of the tournament.
