I coach a 10u major team out of East Tennessee. I am looking for a good tourney or two in Georgia - preferably north of Atlanta. I am aware of Border Wars and the Super NIT in March and plan on attending both. Can anyone recommend some other similar tourneys that are run well with comparable competition? My older son played in the Triple Crown Nationals at Myrtle beach last year, but I know very little about Triple Crown. Anyone heard of Southern Baseball in North Georgia? I have heard the Elite Travel Classic (I think) in the Atlanta area last year drew some great teams from across the nation. Does that tourney include 10U? Invitation only?
I am just trying to get some info on another good tourney(s). Is there one(s) that "you don't want to miss"?
Here is the link to the East Cobb Baseball Complex Calendar of touranments. There are many 10U tournaments planned for next year. This area has a lot of strong 10U teams that will be in most of these tournaments.
The Triple Crowne tourneys in Atlanta /Marietta are always great, they always fill up ,and with usually the best teams in the state. The Southern Baseball is ok,just perfer the triple crown.
I agree with Greg. The Triple Crown events are at great parks, have extremely strong competition, and are very well run. The March Madness tournament will likely be loaded with good teams (it was last year).
The two state tournaments in early June (Triple Crown & USSSA) will have the best teams in the state.
Once again, the Forsyth Slugfest USSSA NIT will be one of the largest preseason tournaments in the country. 50+ teams have already registered in the first month that registration has been open and we expect another sold out event of upwards of two hundred teams.
