Not sure why there have been no topics in here with all the tournaments over the last few years, except they have been discussed else where. I'll fire it up again and see if anyone else shows up.
5 teams showed up in Ball Ground yesterday and there was some real good baseball to be seen. The facilities were really nice and I'd have nothing but good things to say about playing in Ball Ground.
Fury Performance and Sequoya Jr Chiefs won both of their pool games to make it to the Championship game.
Not sure if waiting 2 hours in between games had anything to do with it, but In the end, the Fury appeared to have run out of gas. The Jr Chiefs did get to play back to back games(2nd pool to Champ), but I dont think it would have made a difference. The Sequoia Jr Chiefs showed solid defense and timely hitting the entire day. I watched them make 4 double plays and they made them look routine. I dont think I saw any balls get through the infield and even the pitchers must have thrown out 5 or 6 kids on hard hit ground balls in the final game.
Congratulations to the Sequoia Jr Chiefs on a fine victory and getting first place honors. Here is a link showing scores of the pool games, but it does not show the final. The Championship game never made it to 6 innings as The Jr chiefs won by run rule 1-9 after 4.

| Glad you had fun bfriendly....BUT....I hate to hear any team run ruled another during the championship, it's just not fun for either team. Did this tourney advertise it was a specific division, or was it just who ever wants to enter can? |

Good question B,
The website indicates equally matched competition, but it didnt say Open, or anything reguarding class that I saw. I dont think there were any Major teams there, but I really dont know........sure would like to hear recaps of the other tourneys over here |
