The 8U Coach Pitch (possibly some Kid Pitch) Georgia Bandits (formerly Winston Bandits All-Stars) will be holding open tryouts for Spring/Summer 2016 on November 14 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Hunter Park in Douglasville, GA (Red Field). This will be a full open tryout with all positions and playing slots available for the team. Players cannot turn 9 years old before May 1, 2016 to be eligible for this team. We are looking for high quality players (and great families), ready to compete at the highest level of competition.
The Georgia Bandits will be an 8U travel team competing at the highest level available for this age group. The Bandits in our first season of travel baseball this fall have a record of 22-1 and are currently ranked #1 in the nation for USSSA baseball in our age group. In 2014 & 2015 (6U & 7U), the Bandits were one of the top teams in Georgia's Dizzy Dean League (78-14 record over the past two summers; 2014 & 2015 Dizzy Dean State Runner-Up & 2015 Dizzy Dean World Series Runner-Up). We are looking for enthusiastic players who are ready to challenge themselves at the next level. We are based out of Douglasville, and we will be playing and practicing out of Hunter Park (one of the best facilities in the state) and will utilize local indoor facilities, as necessary.
