The 11U Cherokee Reds have one final open roster spot for the Spring 2016 season. We are looking for someone capable of being a backup catcher although when not catching, pitching and playing other positions in the field is needed. Our goal is for all of our boys to become well rounded players. This means no one plays only one position. Playing out of Barnett Park gives us a lot of practice opportunity since there is no rec program with which to share field time. Our practices are up tempo with the goal being to give each boy many reps at multiple positions.
We look to play in approximately 10 tournaments at the AA level over the course of the spring. We love baseball too but also enjoy taking time away from the diamond. We will look to play in one out of town tournament, at the end of the year. We will begin winter conditioning in January, and will work around the completion of other sport’s seasons.
