2016 - 2017 10U River Ridge Jr. Knights TRY-OUTS (Class of 2025)
Sunday, July 17 & 24; 1 - 4 PM @ River Ridge High School * 400 Arnold Mill Road, Woodstock, GA 30188
Pre-Registration Required: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1cBHIb0ce0TxNGs5fCl3Sb80sjT3JOwu4DTO5lFlJH2w/viewform
The 10U Jr. Knights are excited to announce our try-out dates for the Fall, 2016 - Summer, 2017 Baseball season. We are looking to expand our current player development program; adding talented, dedicated, and positive players and families we can grow with on & off the field throughout the year. Our staff will include Full Time Instructor Drew Davis (Roswell High / Kennesaw State University); D-BAT Marietta Baseball & Softball Academy GM, Coach Gerry Schmidt; Coach Mike Rivers; & Coach Greg Hutcheson. Coaches Gerry, Mike, and Greg return from the 9U team and have a combined 20+ seasons of experience coaching youth baseball at many levels.
River Ridge Varsity Baseball Coach, Scott Bradley, and his staff fully endorse the Junior Program and will make themselves available during the off-season to further enhance the players skills and development. Additionally, D-BAT Marietta's professional staff of hitting, pitching, catching, and fielding instructors will be utilized at different points in the season and will be available full time for private and group lessons.
Our plan is to conduct a light Fall schedule from Labor Day - Halloween (up to 3 tournaments); take November OFF; and participate in an off-season performance training program in Dec. and Jan., while practicing indoors weekly; and hitting the field full time from Feb. - June (up to 12 tournaments, including an end of season destination World Series).
* Indoor practices at River Ridge High School (Woodstock) and occasionally at D-BAT (Marietta)
* Outdoor practices at South Cherokee Park (Woodstock)
River Ridge is an OPEN Campus, and all interested players are invited to attend try-outs.

About this program:
The River Ridge Jr. Knights baseball program exists to support the development of academic and athletic excellence of our Jr. Knights.
Our program is built around the development of young men in baseball and in life. Baseball is a game of failure and there is no other sport that can prepare a young man for life as much as this great game. We are surrounded by very good programs in this area and we can distinguish ourselves in quite a few ways. First, we are not a business that is expecting to make money off of our teams and programs and the success of them. Second, we carry the name and logo of River Ridge High School which makes all players, coaches and families accountable to the community, Principal Herring and Baseball head coach Scott Bradley.
Our teams will play at different levels of travel baseball but the one current theme throughout the program will be the emphasis on player development. We acknowledge that wins are great but we also stress that development of players at multiple positions is a must for players to be successful at the high school level.
Program will include a fall season, winter speed and agility along with spring ball. Each team will be offered professional instruction from the best instructors in the area. This will include hitting, pitching and catching.
