The Georgia Academy Power Baseball Club (also known as GAP) is a new team forming with the core group of its player coming from the East Cobb Astros. These boys are just returning home as the 9U 2016 AAU National Champions. They also have two Dizzy Dean World Series Championships to their credit at 6YO and 7YO. The team will be managed by Jay Worley who has over 20 years of experience in athletic administration and coaching. The team will have a paid Head Coach that does not have a kid on the team. Our team practices will be held in Cherokee County as well as indoor team practices/ instruction held at JCS Sports in Kennesaw.

The team is looking for athletic boys that can play multiple positions and ready to learn/practice at a fast pace. This trait will make those players more valuable as they grow older and prepare for their high school and collegiate opportunities. It is critical to the individual’s success and the team’s success that each and every player is committed to putting in the work necessary to compete at a high level. We are not only develop baseball talent, but also work toward developing the Total Citizen. It is our Club Philosophy that baseball is far more than just bats and balls. It is about developing a productive citizen well beyond their ball playing years with the principles and values we teach.

Our team will practice/ play a very light fall schedule that allows our athletes to play multiple sports in off-season.

If you are interested in a private tryout or attending open workouts please contact Jay Worley at (jworley@cherokeega.com) or 404-472-4039.

GAP Baseball is looking for one more player to complete our 10U roster. The coaching staff is looking for an athlete with versatility to play multiple positions and can throw hard on the mound.
