The Cherokee Reds are holding a final tryout of the summer at Barnett Park (Off of Bells Ferry in Canton) on July 30th, from 12-2 pm. We have most of our roster filled, but we are looking for 1-2 quality AA pitchers to finalize our team. Beyond pitching, we are looking for these players to be of high character, hard working, willing to learn, and want to have fun! Parents, you are just as important as our players to create a competitive and positive environment for our team. We would be honored to have you and your son come out and get to know our organization, coaches, and our team.
I have played 9 years of competitive baseball, and my coaching experience extends beyond recreation and travel ball, having coached multiple years at the High School Div-1AA level. Development of fundamentals and skills at each position in a player is what our coaching staff will focus on. More so than anything, we will use the game of baseball to model to these boys what character, sportsmanship, and discipline look like, and all the while making this FUN for the players and the families.
