Hello everyone. My son is a 9 year left handed pitcher who I was thinking on putting into travel ball. I've been told by quite a few people who have seen him pitch that he would do well in travel ball and it would help him develop better than traditional rec ball. Right now he is fairly consistant around the plate and has average velocity. How-ever his attitude when on the mound is great. He never gets flustered.

I live in Winston GA and he will be 10 on march 14'th. I'm looking for any advice I can get as far as local travel teams, try outs, costs etc.

Thanks,

Russ

He's a ten-year old if he's turns ten in March.

He would play in the 10u age group for 2010 with that birthdate. Check out the "team openings or tryouts" postings on this forum. You should be able to find a number of teams in need of pitching.

Everyone and I mean everyone is in the market for pitching in travel ball. You say average velocity. Do you have any idea what speed he is throwing. You shouldn't have any problem finding a team.
