Should be a fun, competitive weekend of fall baseball at ATPP. I know the Scrappers, Mets and Yankees are solid well coached teams and it's always fun to see what 643 and the Diamond Dawgs will be from year to year. Last checked there are (3) spots still open!

9 AND UNDER TEAMS COMMITTED TO PLAY:

1. 6-4-3 DP Cougars--Marietta, GA
2. West Forsyth Diamond Dawgs--Cumming, GA
3. OTC Scrappers--McDonough, GA
4. EP Mets Select--Decatur, GA
5. East Cobb Yankees--Marietta, GA

Meatball - where are you getting the updated list of teams? I pulled my list from eteamz.

3up3down - me too, I would have liked to see Acworth and the Longhorns as well. I believe there is still time!

Thanks Meatball - The seeding is out, I'm interested to see 643 play the Yankees Friday at 6:30 pm. The Yankees looked strong at the Acworth tournament and I heard that 643 looked pretty good in a couple scrimmage games last weekend. Does anyone know anything about this Covington team? They aren't playing in this tournament but I've heard they look very solid.

1 East Cobb Yankees Marietta
2 6-4-3 DP Cougars Marietta
3 Adcock Scorpions Holly Springs
4 OTC Scrappers McDonough
5 EP Select Mets Decatur

GAME DAY TIME FIELD SCORE TEAM VS TEAM SCORE
1 Friday 6:30 PM All Tournament #1 1 VS 2
2 Friday 8:30 PM All Tournament #1 1 VS 3
3 Saturday 12:00 PM All Tournament #1 2 VS 4
4 Saturday 2:00 PM All Tournament #1 3 VS 4
5 Saturday 4:00 PM All Tournament #1 2 VS 3
6 Saturday 6:00 PM All Tournament #1 4 VS 5
7 Saturday 8:00 PM All Tournament #1 1 VS 5
8 Sunday 10:00 AM All Tournament #1 2 VS 5
9 Sunday 12:00 PM All Tournament #1 3 VS 5

I have seen the Yankees play a few times and heard that the Scrappers were good. I know the 6-4-3 program (as a whole) to be solid but have not seen the 9u team play. I don't know much about the others two. Anyone...?

Another team I have heard was quite good that I would like to see is the Yard Dogs. It doesn't look lke they are playing at all in the fall though.

Well...no games tonight. The rain has struck again.

"AS OF FRIDAY OCTOBER 23RD AT 2:30 PM:

The weather has hit us here in Marietta again. A substantial amount of rain has once again saturated all of the fields and it still continues to rain. ALL GAMES FOR TONIGHT HAVE OFFICIALLY BEEN CANCELLED. These games will be tacked on the end of the schedules for tomorrow. We will have to shorten up time limits and have a plan in place to get the tournament played this weekend. Please look for reschedules and updates here throughout Friday evening and night."

Did anyone see the 9U triple crown games this weekend at ATPP.
I could not make it over on Sunday.
Who looked strong and who needs work?

I did not see as much as I wanted to. What I did see was pretty inconsistent. I think they were all missing players though.

All of the teams looked good. 643 and Adcock had a great game 1, with Adcock coming from behind and later winning the game in extra innings. Both teams have strong defenses, with 643's philosophy to develop all of the boys (with each player playing multiple positions and a lot of pitchers getting work). Adcock is a seasoned defensive team, having played travel coach pitch last year. Two boys threw exceptionally hard for Adcock. The EP Mets was a team from south of the city. They looked like they were playing in a spring training type setting, and their kids looked as if they hadn't played in a while, but they were very strong. Definitely a VERY good team. OTC and the Yankees were really good. The Yankees can hit and dominated pool play beating all of the teams, to the point where some couldn't imagine them losing a game this season. Later, OTC seemed to have no problems with them in the championship. Not sure what could have happened, but I think the coaches in this tournament did a good job as it seemed that all of the teams were in it to get the work more than winning a tournament.
