What are some of the best tournaments throughout the summer? Competition, well ran, best teams always come...etc..

Forsyth County Slugfest?

Forsyth Slugfest would be a great experience for the younger guys. The early atmosphere if off the charts as all the guys are excited about the level of competition.

Any event at East Cobb or ATPP would be great for the younger guys. If you can find the competition as any USTBA event then it would be worth the ride just for the pagentry they put into their events.

If you are only going to do a few then stick with East Cobb and ATPP and make sure the competition is coming. Forsyth Slugfest is a must early tournament.

I have heard that all of the NW teams are headed to East Cobb the same weekend as the Forsyth Slugfest, as the fields are signficantly nicer and the folks that put on the tournaments are first class (the facility is incredibly, bases painted before every game, field relined, dragged, etc). It's sanctioned USSSA based on their website. Another big tournament that I heard about was the Atlanta Super NIT in March.

gohornets.....You are correct. What better way to begin these kids first experience in travel ball (9u) than playing at the nicest youth baseball complex in the country....East Cobb!

If you haven't seen ECB, there is nothing like it. It is the Disney World of baseball. Got to www.eastcobbbaseball.com and look at the pictures of the facilities.

The 9u East Cobb Yankees are hosting this tournament and we will do everything in our power to make this an unbelievable way to kick off your season. This will be a tournament that your kids and parents will remember the entire season.

gohornets is correct! East Cobb's facilities are amazing & we do drag fields, repaint foul lines and paint bases between every game.

The tournament is a USSSA World Series Qualifier with 3 game minimum.

For information on how to sign up for tournament, or any further questions, please give me a call or send an email. We will fill up quickly now that the word is out.

I also think that 9U is the best age to get your teams involved in the NWBA league play. There are so many advantages to a 9U team that it is really the biggest "no brainer" around. I have been sending out emails to many of the coaches and would love to find out how many of your teams will be able to take advantage of this great program.

There is the meeting coming up this Sunday and you can also reach out to me directly:

Have a great season!

This will be a good event with strong comp. I had about as good as 8u group playing with me every weekend last year. This up and coming 9u group as a whole is pretty good.

I don't know anything about the Global WSQ. Which will be a better tournament between that and the SuperNIT?

Will you be raising money for a great cause such as the Miracle League like the Forsyth County Slugfest? Hard to understand why USSSA would want to be competing that weekend for quality teams. The slugfest is proven to be one of the best early tournaments of the year.

sharkcoach: both events will be great comp. The Super is for a berth to Disney and the Global is for a berth to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. (great success last year)
