The 12U Hobgood Braves will be holding two upcoming tryouts for the 2017-2018 season. They will be on July 15th and 22nd at 9:00am on Field 5 at Hobgood Baseball Park (4700 Towne Lake Parkway, Woodstock, GA 30189). We had a pretty successful first season this past year that lead to us finishing runner-up in our 11U State Championship out of 32 teams.
Our coaches have around 30 years of combined experience working with youth players at multiple levels and believe our team's successes are defined more by our execution of player development rather than our W-L record. Wins are a by-product of the process rather than forced at the expense of our players and team as a whole. We try to break the season down into phases and set a plan for each player and the whole team for each phase. Our coaches also have previous Cooperstown coaching experience and feel good about preparing this team for the journey to the Dream Park.
Hobgood is also home to some of the best fields, cages, and facilities in the state of Georgia. Our park hosts multiple travel and all-star tournaments throughout the year. Each travel team has multiple, dedicated weekly practice slots that include cage time, pitching lanes and field time. 12U Cooperstown years can be expensive, but thankfully we have multiple fundraiser opportunities at Hobgood to help ease the financial burden.

Unfortunately, like many tournaments this past year, the weather has won again. We will have to cancel our tryout tomorrow morning (15th) and go with the 22nd. If you cannot make the 22nd, let us know and we can include you in our private workout schedule.
