Acworth Warriors will hold their final tryouts tomorrow Sunday July 30 at the Acworth Baseball Complex. 4000 South Main Street Acworth. Field 3. Tryouts will begin at 1pm and will end at 3pm.
Acworth Warriors 14U Orange are proud to announce tryouts for our 2017/2018 baseball season. This season will be coached by Desmond Atwell which is a big change to our organization. Coach Atwell has over 20 years of coaching and playing experience as well as scout experience with the Cincinnati Reds and Perfect Game. Some of his highlights include: * Playing high school baseball at Southwest DeKalb where he was a two-sport letterman earning numerous accolades. * His college experience includes a two-year letterman at Tennessee State and finishing his college career at Thomas University. * An assistant coach at Riverwood High School in Sandy Springs helping to guide them the State Playoffs 9 straight seasons and 1 region championship. * Coaching numerous travel teams working with over 30 players who have gone on to play at the collegiate level. * Coached major leaguer Tyler Thornburg (Boston Red Sox) and three current minor leaguers. Beyond the coaching changes the Warriors will compete at the highest levels and plan on playing in mostly Perfect Game and Triple Crown tournaments as well as other local tournaments. The team is currently setting up a full year subscription at a local facility in Kennesaw for use as an indoor workout facility. We will also be adding a speed and agility day at the same facility as an additional practice. Our outdoor practices will be held at the Senior Field in Acworth. Tryouts are as follows: July 29th & 30th 1-3pm at Acworth Sports Complex Field 3
