Based on consistent results last year, you'd have to take the Astros and the Colts. I agree with Baseballdad on 2 from the others. |

I think the SGSA Sharks should be in the mix. They had a pretty solid team last season. |

I think that you certainly have to consider SGSA Sharks any time that you are talking about Major teams. Astros and Colts have proven to be the most consistently solid so they should be in also.
I know that fall ball is different from spring but Outkast doesn't loo like the same team from this last season. They played in Tifton a couple weeks ago and the reports were not good from someone who was there. They were 0-3 with a cumulative score of 17-3 against them per the website: http://psdstournaments.com/resultspage/1014tifton.html
I have heard rumors that Team Elite South may have lost their best pitcher which would have a large impact on their performance next season so I wouldn't count on them being in that showdown group.
My vote for the Majors teams would be Colt .45s, Astros, SGSA Sharks and probably Homeplate judging by their record last season.
For AAA who knows?

Based on last season (as 10u teams) the best 3 Georgia teams are: Elite Lynx East Cobb Astros East Cobb Colt 45's Navy (Crane)
For the 4th team it's a toss up between many others. Each weekend a different team would rise up to be in the Top 4. Some weekends it would be Gamers or 6-4-3 or Homeplate ChiliDogs or The Club or Parkview or GA Power or Giants Baseball (Sutko).... |

From what I seen in Fall and last Spring I would go with Astros, ECB Navy Crane, Gamers and Homeplate. Alternate Cougars |

What about Team Elite? I see Team Elite South, what about the North of Atlanta original Team Elute, how will they rank this year? |

For AAA I would say the best teams in this order are:
Augusta Warriors, Elite Gamers Kelly, Georgia Mavericks, Powder Springs Silver hawks, SDG Angels |

The two best teams in AAA are GA Power and Dacula Elite. Both of these teams are really Major teams that have been classified by USSSA as AAA. There are a couple of other teams that I think that fall into the same bucket.
The real issue is that the relevance of USSSA within the state of Georgia is slipping so that the USSSA rankings just do not really matter anymore. |

We can agree to disagree. All the teams listed are in the same group...AAA on the edge of USSSA Major. USSSA Major is the top 10% of the total amount teams listed. |

Wake up, people. We've got some top teams in action this weekend in the TC Spring Frost. It's hard to project the finish with 24 teams ranging from AA to Major (and no pool play schedule out), but here's my best guess for the top half:
1. EAST COBB ASTROS 2. FIVE STAR ELITE 3. EAST COBB COLT 45'S (NAVY) 4. HOME PLATE CHILIDOGS (MOBLEY) 5. SIGNATURE PARK BEARS (BRICE) 6. MERIDIAN PANTHERS 7. GEORGIA ACADEMY POWER (WORLEY) 8. GEORGIA YARD DOGS 9. GEORGIA JACKETS 10. 6-4-3 DP JAGUARS 11. EAST COBB GIANTS 12. TEAM ELITE FUTURES
How did I do?

Probably would get an F on this if it was a test. |

Well, shoot. That stinks. I will definitely try harder next time.
I'll watch for you to post your picks so I can see where I messed up so badly. |

Other than you picking the Astros as #1 the rest of your order seems very suspect but have fun tracking your picks. |

None of these self ranking matters until they step on a 60/90 and PG is tracking the individual players. Let's see how this pans out in 4-5 years, then parents can stop stroking their kids ego and let 11u be the highlight of their baseball career. |

Wow, way to stick your neck out there and make a pick! Astros win it all -- good call.
Are you gonna give us your picks for the next 11, though? Or are you just gonna stick with vague, baseless criticisms of mine?

OneZone - after seeing the pool draw, I agree with 9 of your top 12 making it into the Gold Bracket. So, looks pretty solid to me. |

This has been covered time and time again, Big Pun. If you don't like speculating on how teams will finish in the tourneys, find another thread to comment on. (There's probably one somewhere that could be steered toward a wood-bat discussion. :)
And the whole "none of this matters until..." stuff is garbage. For most of the kids playing 11U, it will NEVER really "matter," because they won't be playing baseball in college. But for now, they're playing ball. Go make your comment to the kids and see if they agree with you.

Did i strike a nerve? The none of this matters.... is not garbage. Only garbage to the chest thumpers that have never played a competitive sport a day in their lives and trying to live thru their kid.
Let me give you my prediction: The teams that are returning the same or most of the same players from last year will fare well. Also teams with the most 2024 grads and those shaving will fare well also. |

I was a college athlete.
My kid doesn't play for any of the teams I picked to finish in the top 12.
You are just too bigtime to be messing around down here in this little old meaningless 11U forum, so why don't you stick to the higher ages where things really matter?

You don't have a dog in the hunt????. I stick to my predictions. Still think your list of 12 is flawed by 6. For a lot of these teams this is their first tourney of the season and will need to work out kinks but anyone can be knocked out at anytime. There will be some surprises.
Never to bigtime to watch some of the future teenage players. So you admit that things don't matter at this age?? Hmmm. Interesting. |

Sandy Plains looked pretty good last weekend. It wasn't vs Majors teams and just pool play, but they looked good and could make Gold. Tallahassee is another not on the list that could make Gold - they don't have to play a Majors team in Pool. Would like to hear from those who told OneZone he was wrong where they see it wrong. And Punishers, of course none of this really matters beyond next week, but what's the harm in having a little fun with making guesses and seeing who surprises? |
