Just talked to a director of a tourney in Alpharetta who said he could add our team to his tournament this weekend, but he needs two teams if he is going to modify his bracket that he posted last night, not one. He indicated he could do this IF we found a second team with the next 24 hours. Any coaches out there looking to play in a quality event? Would be 24 (instead of current 22) teams, would allow him to even out his pools. Looks like a great format, four game minimum, modeled after Cooperstown plan. Call me if you think you might want to play and I will hook us both up.
Talked to the tournament director this evening. After a closer examination of his field situation he determined that it would be too disruptive to the teams already notified of pool games AND would cause him to shorten game times, undermining the integrity/quality of the event he is working to provide. So false alarm, this tourney is full.
But I'm still looking for a team that needs a player, contact me if you could use another player.
