POPE BASEBALL CAMP
JUNE 14 – 17
The 2009 AAAAA STATE CHAMPIONS, and State of Georgia 2009 Coach of the Year Jeff Rowland would like to invite you to attend the 3rd annual Pope Greyhound baseball camp on the campus of Alan C. Pope High school at the beautiful “Hound Pound!” All baseball facilities (field, indoor/outdoor batting cages, bullpens, as well as both school gyms) will be used to conduct the camp.
There will be three sessions of the camp: a fundamentals camp for athletes ranging from 7 – 11 years old and 2 skills camps for athletes 12 – 15 years old.
Fundamentals Camp (for ages 7-11) - June 14-17 @ 9:30am-12:00pm
This four day camp will focus on all aspects of the game (hitting/bunting, infield defense, outfield defense, base running, catching, and pitching) and will have an emphasis on teaching proper mechanics while at the same time creating a fun, player friendly, safe environment.
Defensive Skills Camp (for ages 12-15) - June 14-15 @ 1:00pm-3:00pm
This 2-day camp will focus on all aspects of infield and outfield play. Emphasis in this camp will be on mechanics and situational defense.
Hitting Camp (for ages 12-15) - June 16-17 @ 1:00pm-3:00pm
Emphasis of our hitting camp will be on mechanics and situational hitting.
