Coaches/Managers/Players/ Parents,
Recently Georgia Academy Baseball was contacted by Jeff Schaefer, Founder of Carolinas Baseball Center in Charlotte, NC and Director of USA Baseball NTIS Team Mid-Atlantic. His purpose for contacting us was to inquire about our participation in helping him bring the areas ball players to the Mid-Atlantic NTIS evaluations being held over the next couple of weeks and months. We are very proud and honored that CBC felt strongly about our program, our baseball connections and influence in the area. We proudly accepted their offer and are very excited to be involved with CBC and the USA Baseball NTIS Team Mid-Atlantic program as it is a tremendous opportunity for our area players. GAB and I will play an important role in helping to identifying players from across the state of Georgia for this program. Not only will we be helping coordinate this process, but we are very fortunate to have a Stage One Event right here in the Atlanta area! Our local stage one event will be held at Whitewater HS, Fayetteville on Thursday, June 24th. The Mid-Atlantic NTIS events are set up in three stages. Each stage will help fulfill the objective of forming a Mid-Atlantic team at each of the 13u, 15u and 17u age groups. It is important to note that these age groups are determined on a calendar year per international rules. 2010 17U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 1993 2010 15U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 1995 2010 13U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 1997
Once selected, these teams will be invited to compete against ten other regions from across the country at the USA Baseball NTIS being held on September 10th, 11th and 12th at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary, North Carolina. Detailed information on the events and the age limitations can be found at both www.cbcbaseball.net and www.usabaseball.com.
Stage one events consist of a one day pro-Style workout while stage two will be a two day Sub-Regional event with games and stage three will consist of a three day format to be held in Charlotte, NC. Click here for Full Schedule. Players must attend a stage one event to be considered for the next level. We believe this is a great opportunity for the players in our area and strongly encourage you to attend the local NTIS event. The event is not only a tremendous chance to potentially represent the Mid-Atlantic States in Cary, but a great opportunity to see how your skills compare to the areas players!
