I think the team who plays well in oil will win it. Ha Ha Any teams from Texas in this? They love oil. |

Lots of teams in there that have shown they can play. Yankees are a safe pick, but with this many teams and lots of games, fatigue and pitching depth will be critical. There are several teams there that can compete with or upset Yankees with the right pitching matchups. The winner must make it through pool play using 4th or fifth level pitcher, once you move to the loser bracket the extra games will deplete pitchers and probably your chances of winning. Watch out for Florida Tarballs, I hear the parents are really "Crude". |

I don't know any of the out of state teams, so this is based on the GA teams listed. Bubbasdad 2-3 mos ago I'd be right with you but I'm picking Oregon Park to win it. Very good defensive team with solid bats and now it seems like their pitching is coming around. Should be fun if the rain stays away. |

Yankees win it hands down if they pitch to win the tournament. Not trying to offend anyone but they have the team to win.
Good luck all Georgia teams. Bring home the trophy....in the oil slick...ha ha |

As opposed to pitching to come in second? Or maybe third? I'd say there are at least 8 or 9 teams that have the talent to win the whole thing. Just like in any tournament, any game can come down to who is "on" that day, and the pitching match-ups, as was previously mentioned. Anybody know anything about the Tx or La teams? |

After playing against a number of these teams this year, all it takes is one pitcher to have a great game and you can beat anyone. Yes the teams you mentioned are good teams. I'm not sure about the teams from outside north metro Atlanta but I would not count out Oregon Park Sharks, East Cobb Navigators, 6-4-3 9U Cougars, and Shaw park. |

Looks like GA teams are playing at least 1 GA team (sometimes 2) in pool play. Teams would probably like to face teams from outside GA, but with 17 of 28 from GA that was probably too tough for TD. |

Brackets out! It will be interesting to see how the week goes. 6 days and 9 to 13 games. How coaches manage pitchers will be critical. I have not seen many teams at this age with enough pitching to make it through the losers bracket and still have good pitching left for semis or ship game. The top 4 seeds in pool get a bye in 1st round. Will teams pitch better pitchers in pool to try to get the Bye(based on runs allowed I think)or will they save better pitchers for elimination games? Based on matchups you could play well in pools and still not get the Bye. Tough call, glad I dont have to make it. |

quote: I guess some folks where not happy with their "randon" draw. This attachement is no longer accurate, the up to date pool schedule is on the website - it was updated today around 2:30. A couple of teams made out well. I thought this stuff only happened up here in GA, I was wrong.
The changes didn't really affect our team all that much, but it's funny how TD's just jump at the opportunity to change pool schedules for certain teams on a whim with no logical reasoning whatsoever. Anyhow, the link I posted has now been updated with the new schedule. You may have to hit the refresh button on your browser to get the updated version.
